In reference to Revelation 2:10, don’t all believers get eternal life, but not all believers will face/endure persecution,, so shouldn’t there be more for those Christians that are persecuted?
Absolutely! The best analogy I can come up with is this: heaven is our "participation trophy" for being a believer, everyone who believes gets there. The crown is our trophy for place we finish, the harder we work and the trials/persecution we make it through bigger and better the crown we get to lay at His feet. Hopefully I'm not way off base and still doctrinely sound with that analogy
If you hold tight and stay faithful to the Lord during persecution you will inherit a place in God's kingdom. If you fall away because you are being persecuted then you never really believed in the first place. Not sure if this is what you mean but it is my understanding. Then there is thought that we will be rewarded in Heaven by our accomplishments after we are saved. Am I totally off the trail of what you mean?
