This week we are looking at the Apostle Paul and identifying some of his characteristics.
As I was studying, it hit me that there is so much about living the Christian life that we associate with the teachings of Paul.
Paul spent so much of his letters, talking and identifying relationships. I thought it would be a great exercise to identify some of Paul's teaching that has affected your personal Christian walk.
I would love to hear from you.
It's hard to narrow it down to certain scriptures for me. But if I had to narrow it down to 2 verses that have affected me the most it's Phil 4:12-13. We see " I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" everywhere in our world today but we rarely see it used in the context that it is supposed to be used in. I can have joy through the struggle because God. Life isn't always perfect and there are many struggles, but it is nothing compared to what Paul went through and he still had the faith to put that into his letter. If Paul can go through the trials he had to go through for his ministry, I can get through the trials in my life that don't come anywhere close to his. Pauls walk through life is a tremendous encouragement to me. People were drawn to him for him to disciple even though he was being persecuted for his beliefs throughout his ministry. What joy and knowledge he must have had for people to look past the things he was being put through for his faith and still want to be a part of it.
What hit me at once was the fact that he made sure the story of Jesus got spread all over the world. He knew it was true because of his personnel encounter with Him on the road to Damascus.
