Lucifer: Created, Fallen, Defeated

A Biblical Study on Satan and Spiritual Warfare

Few subjects in Scripture generate more confusion, speculation, fear, and misinformation than the doctrine of Satan and spiritual warfare. Popular culture, movies, novels, internet teachers, and even some churches have often shaped people’s understanding more than the Bible itself. As a result, many believers either become overly fascinated with Satan or dismiss the subject altogether.

This study was created to return believers to the authority of Scripture.

The Bible presents Satan not as God’s equal, but as a created being who rebelled against his Creator and now stands under divine judgment. From Genesis to Revelation, Scripture reveals the origin, fall, activity, limitations, and final defeat of Satan through the finished work of Jesus Christ.

This study approaches the subject carefully, biblically, and devotionally from a conservative Baptist and King James Bible perspective. Rather than building doctrine from speculation, tradition, or sensationalism, each lesson encourages participants to study the whole counsel of God and allow Scripture to interpret Scripture.

Throughout this study, we will examine questions such as:

  • Who was Lucifer before his fall?

  • What actually happened in heaven?

  • What power and authority does Satan possess?

  • Can believers be oppressed, tempted, or deceived?

  • What does the Bible teach about demons and spiritual warfare?

  • How should Christians resist the devil biblically?

  • Why do many believers give Satan too much credit?

  • What does Christ’s victory over Satan truly mean?

This is not merely a study about Satan. It is ultimately a study about the supremacy of God, the authority of Scripture, and the victory of Jesus Christ.

The goal is not fear, fascination, or speculation. The goal is discernment, confidence, spiritual maturity, and a deeper understanding of God’s Word.

Whether you are studying individually, leading a small group, teaching a class, or walking through the companion workbook and leader’s guide, my prayer is that this study will challenge you to search the Scriptures carefully and grow stronger in your faith.

“And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone…”
— Revelation 20:10 (KJV)
