The book on page 48 says that God doesn’t have physical features, He is Spirit. Genesis 1:27 says that God created man in His image. I’m confused? Your thoughts?

This reminded me of when I used to work in IT, when we "imaged" a computer, regardless of the physical differences of the individual device, they all were given the same possible functions to operate and connect to the higher server.
In the case of humanity we are given thought, morals and reason in order to connect to our "Imager".
