Question 4: Can Satan Know Our Thoughts?

Scripture never says Satan can read human thoughts.

Only God possesses complete knowledge of the heart.

But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart. 1 Samuel 16:7

1 To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. O LORD, thou hast searched me, and known me. 2 Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off. 3 Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways. 4 For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O LORD, thou knowest it altogether. Psalm 139:1-4

Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do. Hebrews 4:13

Satan is powerful but not omniscient.

What Satan can do is observe.

He has studied human behavior since his creation. He can observe habits, speech, actions, attitudes, and responses. Much of what appears to be the reading of the mind : eading may simply be an intelligent observation by a highly experienced adversary.

Only God knows the thoughts and intents of the heart perfectly.
